AI Tools for O2

Policy and data-safety

Classify research data before sending it to an AI tool. AI Tools not originating from Harvard AI Sandbox should be used only with Level 1, public information. Use institution provided tools for Level 2–3 data, and confirm the current approval for the specific tool and workflow. Level 4, regulated, or data-use-agreement (DUA)-restricted data requires review by HMS IT and, where applicable, the Office of Research Administration before use. No AI tool is approved for Level 5 data.
