Below you can find guidelines if you are for an HMS user and you are leaving HMS but wish who wishes to keep you access to O2 and HMS Storage.

Examples could be a student that is graduating or an HMS researcher that is leaving an HMS-based (on-Quad) Lab and joining an Affiliate Hospital Lab.affiliate hospital (off-Quad) Lab.

Labs with a PI that has a primary or secondary faculty appointment in an HMS Basic Science department are considered “On-Quad” (aka Quad A, B, or C)
Labs with a PI that does not have a primary or secondary faculty appointment in an HMS Basic Science department are considered “Quad None” (aka off-Quad)

1	A person who is an HMS O2 User currently working with a an On-Quad lab and will be leaving HMS/Harvard, but wish wishes to continue having access to O2 to perform work for an On-Quad labLab.	On-Quad Lab	On-Quad Lab	PI needs to request the users HMS ID/Account be converted to a guest account via STAT. The PI will need to complete the POI request process. The User or PI needs to contact rchelp@hms.harvard.edu and request a Slurm account change ( needed only if the user is changing Labs)
2	A person who is an HMS O2 User currently working with a On-Quad lab and will be leaving HMS/Harvard joining to join an Affiliate Quad None Lab but . User needs to continue accessing O2 for their new lab.	On-Quad Lab	Quad None Lab	User will need to follow the step described in How to request or retain an O2 account under “Off-Quad” (affiliate hospital/institution) Labs paragraph. However, instead of submitting a new O2 account request, the User needs to contact rchelp@hms.harvard.edu and request a Slurm account change to the new Lab.
3	An A Harvard student who is an HMS O2 User that is currently working with a Quad None lab, will be leaving HMS/Harvard but needs continue accessing to O2 for the same Quad None lab.	Quad none Lab	Quad none Lab	PI needs to contact rccore@hms.harvard.edu and confirm the user can continue under their account.
4	A person who is currently an HMS O2 User, working with a Quad None lab, will be leaving HMS/Harvard but will still need access to O2 to collaborate with an On-Quad lab.	Quad none Lab	On-Quad Lab	PI needs to request the users HMS ID/Account be converted to a guest account via STAT. The PI will need to complete the POI request process. The User or PI needs to contact rccore@hms.harvard.edu and request a Slurm account change ( needed only if the user is changing Labs )
